  8. BZ BD!

  9. Excellent video. I have followed Navy Football since 1955, without a doubt one of the best football programs in the USA, this video says it all. GO NAVY !!!!

  10. Great video. The only thing missing is the soundtrack.

  11. GRRRREAT … Thanks much for all you do, especially those of us who can’t get back as often as we’d like. Your analysis always adds so much to the enjoyment.
BEAT ARMY … again and again and … (;o} .

  12. It is goo but it would help some of us if the scenes were identified by year e.g. the 1926 National Championship team could be identified only by the stadium

  13. JUST PROUD TO HAVE PLAYED FOR TWO YEARS-1950,51 LUCKED OUT AND SCORED A TD AGAINST UNDEFEATED ARMY-1950! PASS FROM THE GREAT ZUG ZASTROW! SPORTS ILLUSTRATED STILL CALLS IT THE GREATEST UPSET IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY-DO NOT KNOW IF THAT IS TRUE BUT GREAT TO THINK SOMEONE THINKS IT TRUE!! BEAT ARMY!! JIM BALDINGER,1953

  14. Thanks for everything you’ve done on this site and especially this! It’s great stuff.

  15. Jim Baldinger-father of Fox commentator and former NFL player Brian Baldinger

  16. Outstanding video Mike –> 130 years of Navy Football captured quite nicely, … and THANKS “squared”!

    Go Navy!!!

  17. Jim– There’s a picture of that play in the Nimitz online archive, aka the greatest website on earth:

One of two pictures from that year’s Lucky Bag, titled “Insult” and “Injury.”

  18. Thanks for the memories Mike. I still like the Anchors on the Helmets. Great job.

  19. Outstanding!

And another link from the Navy Sports site for your resume. Put yourself in for a raise.

  20. Awesome video, thanks Mike. I too dig the old school helmets.

  21. Always a pleasure to see what you cook up for this site-like everyone else says-THANKS!

  22. Can’t view on the iPod touch! Oh no! Have something to look forward to when I get home.

  23. Awesome.
    Great selection on the song.

  24. Mike, … I know I’m showing my age, … but who is the artist, … and what’s the title of that song?

Also, … Is there a link to the video that I can e-mail to a few old shipmates/family? The menu selection of “share this video” won’t work.

    Thanx in advance.

  25. easiest thing to do is to e-mail them the link to this site

  27. Jim Baldinger — I’m in the cyber-presence of greatness! Looking at that photo, your catch had little to do with luck.

Great video, Mike — I really liked the panoramic shot of the 100,000 at Soldier Field.

  28. Yep. Good video. And I’m not even a Navy guy.

  29. FDD– The song is “Come Alive” by Foo Fighters.

  30. Great video!! Tom Bakke ’76 son of Tom Bakke ’52 says hi to Jim Baldinger. You are right 1950 upset win over Army was the biggest!! Army coach complaining before the game that they should be ranked number 1 not number 2 and Navy coach responding that they should be ranked number 63 not 64. What a story.

  31. Great quiz on NAVY FOOTBALL! Do I send my ans to you to grade or do you send me the ans?
